Greetings! The Nyingma Institute has offered MCLE courses that fulfill State Bar requirements since 1992. This year, the Institute partners with the Center for Creative Inquiry to offer a residential weekend program at the spectacular Ratna Ling Retreat Center. Classes will be taught by Jack Petranker, J.D. and Erika Rosendberg, Ph.D., experienced MCLE instructors whos consistently earn the highest ratings. Preventing Substance Abuse (3 MCLE credits)

Registration Information

The cost for the retreat is $800 for the attorney and $150 for a friend or spouse. This price includes lodging for two nights stay, all meals and the MCLE credits. You can pay online using Paypal or by check made payable to Center for Creative Inquiry (CCI). After October 1, tuition is non-refundable but can be applied to other MCLE or Nyingma Institute programs (Nyingma Institute). |
Presenter Jack Petranker

Jack Petranker, MA, JD., (Yale 1970) is admitted to practice in California and in federal courts. He is former Dean of the Nyingma Institute and has taught at Boalt Hall School of Law and for UCB's Continuing Education Program. He is founding director of the Center for Creative Inquiry, a non-profit corporation dedicated to finding new ways of knowing. He has been teaching MCLE programs since 1999. |

Presenter Erika Rosenberg
|

Erika Rosenberg, Ph.D., (UCSF 1994) researches how feelings are revealed within facial expressions, how social factors can influence our emotional signals, and how anger can affect cardiovascular health. Erika lectures internationally, and she collaborates with other scientists on psychology, medicine, and computer science projects. She teaches at the University of California, Davis and the Nyingma Institute.
