'Renaissance Christmas'
Midsummer's Music Festival brings 'A Renaissance Christmas' featuring the Chicago Early Music Consort back for a sixth straight year with a new program called "The 12 Days of Christmas". The director has focused this season's program around the period between the birth of Christ and the coming of the Magi (Epiphany, Jan. 6th). In Renaissance Europe this period was a time for both religious introspection and merrymaking. There will be only three performances scheduled so make reservations to guarantee a spot at this breathtaking performance. The first performance is scheduled Friday, Dec, 11, 7pm at Bjorklunden in Baileys Harbor & iincludes a reception and dinner from Alexander's. The second is Saturday, Dec. 12, 7pm at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church, Ellison Bay. The final showing will be 2pm on Sunday, Dec. 13 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Ephraim.
