Ephraim Firehouse Museum
For those of you who have stayed with us recently you will have noticed the work going on at the old Fire House by the dock. It is all being lovingly restored to its original and will house the Firehouse Museum which is such a great asset for Ephraim. Already they have the new doors completed and fitted so it looks great from the outside now. Next time you are here make sure you take a walk down to the dock and check out the progress. For more photos and information on the restoration project please go to Ephraim Village

Burn the Winter Witch!
The Summer Solstice is celebrated in Ephraim June 13-15th with our local Scandinavian festival called Fyr Bal, or Bonfire in Norwegian. With lots of festivities the evening culminates with our local Chieftain lighting the firs of many bonfires and tossing in the effigy of the winter witch. Bonfires are then lit one by one around the perimeter of Eagle Harbor shore where you can partake in the magic. It's a fantastic way to welcome Summer...Fireworks over the water make it a spectacular weekend.
June 12th you can also join in the celebration of ANDERSON DOCK AND STORE 150th BIRTHDAY! Food, fun and history will abound including a 13 piece brass band, a picnic supper and family sing-a-long. |
