 NancyFarewell to Nancy
Many of you have gotten to know our dear friend and Innkeeper Nancy over the nine years she was here and just this month we bid her farewell as she returns to her home turf of Minneapolis.  She wanted to be closer to her family, especially her first and newest granddaughter.  We will sure miss her and the warmth she brought to all our guests.
The accompanying recipe is from Nancy, having become
one of our Inn favorites at treat time.
On that same note, we are really pleased to introduce Deborah Ralph.
We feel so fortunate to have  Deborah join us to oversee the reservations and all they entail.  When you meet her you too will feel her warmth and positive energy.        Deborah
Hailing from New Zealand she adds a certain dash to
our everyday language and a wonderful accent to the spoken word.  It has been an exciting Winter!

peanut butter brownies             Peanut Butter Brownies
1/2 cup crunch style peanut butter        2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup butter, softened                         1 cup flour
3/4 cup light brown sugar,            1 tsp baking pwdr
                  firmly packed                                   1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar                      2 eggs
2 pkg. (6oz each) Semisweet chocolate morsels,
                            Divided

In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, brown and granulated sugars; beat until creamy.  Beat in eggs, one at a time, then vanilla.  In a seperate bowl, sitr together the flour, baking powder and salt.  Gradually stir this into peanut butter mixture until well mixed.  Stir in one package of the chocolate morsels.  Spread batter evenly in a greased thriteen-by-nine-by-two-inch baking pan.  Sprinkle remaining chocolate morsels on top of batter.  Place pan in 350F oven for three minutes.  Remove pan from oven and lightly run a knife back and forth through the batter a few times so chocolate forms a marble pattern.  Quickly return pan to oven and bake about thirty minutes longer or until firm in the center and edges begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.  Cool in pan on a wire rack.  Cut into twenty-four bars.
