I hope that you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thanks to all of you for your support and participation in what I consider to be a very busy and productive year of 2008 for Downtown Hutchinson. As you drive up and down Main Street it is easy to see the efforts of so many to make downtown better and I look forward to our continued progress in 2009. A very special Thank You to Paula Payton and her hard working Christmas Committee for putting together a wonderful schedule of events, activities, and fun for the entire family this Holiday Season. Please join me in thanking Paula, Jo Mora, Kristi Nuest, Kathy Palmer, Abby Hurst, Bobette Siemens, Judith O'Hara, Amy Jo Wintz, Dorothy Barnett, Susan Allam, Marti Miller, Nancy Swain, Debbie Jerauld, Tammy Colladay, Mary Hemmings, Lloyd Armstrong, and Scott Young of Hutch Improvement, and the many RSVP volunteers for helping Downtown this Holiday Season. So many people help downtown in so many ways, I'm always fearful of overlooking someone who has helped us, my apologies if I have. Thanks to all of you for such great looking Christmas windows and store decorations downtown. They look great! Thank you to a very special donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, for donating to the community and Downtown a very beautiful living spruce tree in Avenue A Park that Don's Floral will decorate. I also want to thank members of the Hutchinson Ambucs Club for their help in decorating the low level lights for Christmas and, of course, the City of Hutchinson for their ongoing support of the Downtown Hutchinson Revitalization Partnership. |
