God Loves Us
|
All you need is love - right? But what if we are looking for love in all the wrong places? When we listen to love songs or read love stories, the theme is often about finding true love.
St. Paul talks about Christ's love for us in Ephesians 3:14-21and he prays that our response to that love will be to "stand firm and be deeply rooted in his love." This weekend, we'll explore about what it means to be rooted in the soil of Christ's love.

VBS
|
Wow - VBS was a super success! It was so much fun watching all our super heroes sing songs, play games, create crafts and learn about the marks of a disciple.
We had 71 children and 68 teen and adult volunteers throughout the week. Obviously, VBS would not be possible without all you amazing volunteers giving of your time and talent! And this year, VBS was super special because the League of Disciples was a homegrown concept with the curriculum, songs, skits, images and everything else associated with VBS created by people from Peace.
Don't forget the Ice Cream Social after worship this Saturday!
The VBS super heroes had a mission to collect school supplies for Hollymead. Let's continue that mission this month. Help us donate:
book bags, colored pencils, #2 penciles, crayons, pencil bags (for 3 ring binder), marble composition notebooks, 3-ring binders (1.5 & 2 inches), pocket folders, markers, glue sticks, looseleaf paper (wide-ruled).

Annual Yard & Bake Sale
|
Proceeds from the Yard Sale are used for our Adopt-a-Family Mission. Both the Yard & Bake Sale are "Thrivent Financial for Lutherans" Chapter Activities.
Yard Sale donations will be accepted Monday, August 3 through Friday, August 7 between the
hours of 9am - 8pm. Please do not bring paints, solvents, chemicals or
any electrical/computer equipment that is not in working order. If you
have large items that will need to be picked up, please let us know
early so arrangements can be made.
When: Saturday, August 8, 8am to noon

Our Peace Bake Sale will be held the same date and time as the yard sale. Collected money will be used to purchase food for Salvation Army meals, which our church cooks and serves the first Friday of each month. Please bring any of your favorite baked items (breads, cakes, muffins, pies, cookies) to the church kitchen Friday night or Saturday morning.
