Children and families are invited to participate in the Hollymead Yard Sale on Saturday, June 13th. We will be setting up a lemonade stand/bake sale here at the church to support our "Read to Read" mission efforts for the summer.

Help the Tree of Hope Grow!

Our group of 14 volunteers is gearing up for the 2009 Mission Trip to
Honduras July 4-11. Since February, we've been learning, sharing and
laughing together while preparing to serve. During our stay, we'll be
traveling to small villages to set up temporary medical clinics.
The mission team needs your assistance. You will soon see a "Tree of
Hope" in the church narthex. It includes several opportunities for you
to support the mission. We need simple things like aspirin or other
over-the-counter medical supplies and a few children's books for the
Sunday School. Please take a paper ornament from the tree that
describes a gift and submit a check for the prescribed amount. We will
take care of purchasing the item in bulk.
An essential element of the mission is prayer. Alumni of past trips
have felt the power of your prayer while in mission. The Honduras
Mission Team is: Ruth and Dave Poole, Nancy, Eric and Sarah Schmitz, Kara Mathews, Sarah
Heuer, Laurel Olson, Christie and Sam Ridenhour, Angela Yarbrough,
Barbara, Emily and Molly Gerding.
