Easter People
"We need to always be aware and thinking critically about our way of life. We need to constantly be allowing God, mostly through the scriptures and through prayer, to reorient and reconvert our way of life. I believe this is especially true for those of us who live in Suburban America. We live extremely individualized, consumerized, busy and disconnected lives (just to name a few). Without paying attention to our way of life, we'll more than likely just go about our culture's default life without even realizing it." - Todd Hiestand

This week we'll explore Easter people finding themselves being redirected or reoriented back to God throughout their life's journey.  Sometimes the redirection is so subtle it is hardly recognizable as it's happening and sometimes it occurs in the moment of a life-changing event.  All it takes for God to reorient our lives is an opening; a sliver of hope, a touch of love, a dash of prayer or a mustard seed of faith.

Small Group Book "Clubs"

We've got participants signed up to begin two book studies.  There's still room available, so make plans now to attend!
  • Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell on Tuesday evenings beginning April 28 (7pm at the South Campus)
  • A Simple Path by Mother Teresa on Tuesday mornings beginning May 5 (10:30am in Fellowship Hall)

We also have some folks interested in a book study for Too Busy Not to Pray by Bill Hybels, Jesus in the Margins by Rick Mckinley, Loving Jesus by Mark Allan Powell.  If you are also interested in one of these books or if there is another book you'd like to see added to the list, let us know.   If you would like to launch this study on your own by inviting friends from Peace, or friends outside of Peace, to join you in the study, please let us know and we will do what we can to help you make that happen.

I want to thank you for your excitement about the resources we highlighted, and please let us know if you have any questions!
