40 Days with the Lord's Prayer

Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those
who sin against us.

God forgives, not in spite of sin, but because of sin. Sin is a disrupter and destroyer of relationships and God wants a healthy relationship with us. And so God forgives.  God wants us to have healthy relationships with each other. And so God calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven. When we pray this petition, we are saying, "God, you keep on forgiving us and we'll keep on forgiving others because that's the only thing that makes sense in a broken world." - Lenten Journey, day 26

4 Days to Make an IMPACT!

IMPACT Research Update
The Education and Affordable Housing Research Teams have been hard at work identifying key problems in each area and specific solutions to those problems.  You can find a brief summary of that research and the proposed solutions IMPACT will be bringing to the Nehemiah Action at impactcville.blogspot.com

You can commit to attend the Nehemiah Action on Monday, March 30 at 6:15pm by signing up on the board and taking one of the invites from the pew.  Invitations are not necessary to get into the event, but having one will speed your entry process.  Over 2,000 are expected from a variety of faith traditions who all hear the call to "do justice". Peace Lutheran Church has committed to bring out 60 people to this event - we still need 28 more people to sign-up!  Friends, neighbors, co-workers, and youth all count toward this commitment!
