This weekend we look at the "grow in Christ" part of our mission. The early followers of Jesus called themselves
the people of the Way. Do you also find yourself on a journey to follow the way of Jesus? Sometimes along the journey, do you find yourself asking - are we there yet?

Ministry Fair
|
On March 7 after the Pot Luck and March 8 during the Sunday School hour we are holding our first annual Ministry Fair. Besides learning about the various ministries of Peace, you will also have the chance to explore Adult Discipleship small groups in greater depth. At this gathering we hope to provide several opportunities:
1. For those of you who are planning to participate in another discipleship group in 2009, we want to assist you in finding others to participate with you.
2. For those of you who are looking for a study resource for your discipleship group, we will have several recommendations and samples for you to examine.
3. For those of you who are looking for a shorter term small group experience (say, 6 or 12 weeks), we will assist you in finding other participants and study resources.
Of course, there will also be many other ministry opportunities featured at the ministry fair, opportunities in which you and maybe even your entire discipleship group will want to participate in or learn more about. So mark your calendars for the March 7-8 weekend Ministry Fair, and we'll hope to see you there.

Communion Class
|
Mark your calendars now for a parent/child Communion Class. This class is designed to enrich the communion experience for children of all ages. Parents and children will mark this important faith milestone together as they explore the elements of communion by baking (and breaking) bread, and discovering the meaning behind the Passover meal.

VBS 2009

With cold winter mornings
and snow on the ground, we are all looking forward to summer. And what comes with summer??? VBS!!!
Yes, it's time to start planning for another
fun program. There are some new and
exciting changes this year. The first
is that I, Terri Voight, am going to be
Co-Director! And do I have some BIG
shoes to fill! Beth and Meaghan have
been so inspiring over the past few years and I hope I (we) can continue to
bring fun, laughter, and learning to our kids. There are numerous ways to help
make VBS a success: drama, decorating,
teaching, crafts, snacks, games, registration, and, oh yes!, I need a
co-director!!! Please pray about how
you can donate your talents and time and come join the Fun.
