Walking Wet

This weekend we will be celebrating four baptisms and so it seems like a good time to revisit what baptism means to us, to the church and to God. This weekend we'll begin a series that looks at our calling into God's mission (and the Way) through our baptism. Walking wet (returning to our baptism) involves responding to God's call: loving God, one another, growing in Christ, and going in Christ.

We hope this series will help us to:

see that there is a whole life response to the gift of God's grace
feel the love of God more deeply
live like we believe in the promise of our baptism

Weekly Devotions

Congregational Meeting

This coming Sunday at 9:45am we will hold a very important meeting in the life of our congregation. The Finance Ministry Team along with input from the leaders of all our ministry teams has submitted a proposed 2009 budget. If you are a voting member of Peace, you should have received a hardcopy of this proposed budget in the mail. Please join the community in prayerfully considering this allocation of our resources for the coming year.

PACEM Volunteer Orientation

This orientation meeting is for all volunteers, but especially for those who haven't helped with PACEM before. We will go over the schedule for the two weeks and rules for working with guests. If you haven't yet volunteered, but want to find out more about what's involved and what help is still needed, please come to this meeting or contact Sue.

Men's Small Group Bible Study
All men of Peace and friends are welcome. The Bible Study led by John Mesinger is Worry Worts: God Knows What You Need. A light breakfast will be provided.

Women's Beth Moore Study - Esther: It's Tough Being a Women. The Old Testament story of Esther is a profile in courage and contains many modern parallels for today's women. Join Beth (and women of Peace) in an in-depth examination of this great story of threat and deliverance.

Join Ruth and David Poole as they guide us on a journey with Paul. Follow the travels of Paul through video, slides, and Bible study.

Louise Ward will lead this weekly study and topics will include: Genealogy: Yours, Mine and His (Genesis 10-11); Resuscitating the 'E" in the ELCA (1 Peter 2); Solomon and You (1 Kings 1-11); and Hey Jude: Learn to Study the Bible (Jude 1-25).
