Hope Rising
Our worship series this Advent Season is Hope Rising. Amidst the headlines and reality, of our post 9-11 environment & our failing economy, we strive to avoid being overwhelmed by anxiety, fear & anger. Christmas faith empowers us to seize the gift of the Savior and fully experience the hope he brings.

The Hope Rising Advent Guide is now available online (you can also pick up a copy this weekend at worship):

Leadership Council Update

Peace Lutheran Church Congregational Meeting:
Sunday, December 7 @ 9:45-10:45am

All are invited. All are needed. Voting members of Peace Church are urged to attend a Special Congregational Meeting this coming December 7th, during the normal Adult Sunday School hour (9:45-10:45am), as a quorum is required to do the church's business at hand:
  • First public reading and the possible approval of our new Constitution
  • Discussion and the possible presentation for action of the incorporation of PLC
  • Update on the 2009 Budget (to be submitted for the congregation's approval by special meeting on Sunday January 11, 2009 @ 9:45-10:45am)
These are substantial issues. Please begin praying over these items now--and you will be better prepared to vote on them then.

Early service (8:30am) attendee voting members who normally leave after the service, please allow extra time for your participation in this meeting. Voting members who attend the 11:00am service, please plan to arrive early to participate as well. God bless us as we set out to do His work during this special meeting of the congregation.

This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest
in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts,
and he knows everything. ~ 1 John 3:19-20
