Free Chrysanthemum
Plant For You

Chrysanthemums are a favorite in many gardeners' landscapes and we have one here with your name on it! On Monday, September 13, you can receive a free mum plant with any purchase!

Beautiful Chrysanthemum

If you make sure your new mum is watered well before winter, mulched for winter protection and is fertilized along with your other landscape plants you will enjoy it for years to come.

There is still a lot of planting time this season and what better to plant than a free chrysanthemum? This is truly a special offer and we wanted to make sure you know about it.

  Note from the Editor

When there's news of a very early or very late frost, new or difficult to control diseases appear in our area, severe weather that could threaten your landscape or any number of other alerts we send an Extra Edition of Wedel's News to you. We are happy to be able to send such important news to you; we are happier when the news is good news and that's what thisExtra Edition brings.

Free is always fun! As mentioned above, you can receive a free chrysanthemum plant with any purchase on Monday, September 13. Do you need a couple of pounds of birdseed? Were you going to pick up your fall fertilizer anyway? Want a fresh flower arrangement for the office? Thinking about some new shrubs by the front porch? Garden gloves worn out? Make any purchase on Monday the 13th and you'll get a free mum plant. We thought you'd like to get an alert like this for a change.

I was talking with Roger Taylor a few days ago and I asked him if it is about time for hummingbirds to begin migration. It is! Already. You might notice a lot of activity around your feeders as your resident hummers are preparing for their long flight and some migrants from the north are passing through. Hummingbird migration offers us another chance to send an Extra Edition to you but that happens in the spring when sightings begin to be reported in our area.

'Til next time...
Jim
