Country Fair Update
It's FAIR time!
Wedel's Country Fair Days are getting close and there are updates we wanted to get to you. You all know about the Country Fair Contest and the opportunity to win up to $200 in Wedel's gift certificates. There are 13 categories and each entrant is eligible to win a $100 certificate in up to 2 categories. One of the requirements for entry is that you bring in your Wedel's receipts for the materials for your entry. Ah, but you don't have your receipt. Now what? Well, you can still enter any or all of the categories and win up to two $50 Wedel's gift certificates! So, don't let that missing receipt discourage you. All entries must be brought in by 4:00 p.m. on August 26 for judging.

We had planned to have Wedel's Petting Zoo during the fair days but, because of the hot and humid weather and our concern that it would be too hard on the animals to be confined in those conditions, we are moving the Petting Zoo to September 24 and 25. Add this fun event to your calendar and plan to join us when our furry guests will be much more comfortable.

The Sidewalk Sale will procede during the fair days as planned. You'll find teriffic deals in every department on items such as trees, fertilizers, home decor, perennials, tools, statuary, pottery and furniture to name just a few.

See you soon for Wedel's Country Fair Days on August 27 and 28!

Yes, there will be cotton candy!
Yummm!
  Note from the Editor

Occasionally we publish an Extra Edition of Wedel's News. If there is something we learn of that you should know or we think you would appreciate hearing about, you will receive a special copy of the newsletter.

I hope you all can make it to Wedel's Country Fair Days next week. Fair food, fun, games and good deals. Something for everyone. I went to the Branch County 4-H Fair last week and did my part to make sure the fair food was up to par. It was. But I missed the cotton candy and have no idea how that happened! Whenever we're given a second chance we should seize it and that's what I plan to do. See you soon!

'Til next time...
Jim

"Whilst August yet wears her golden crown,
    Ripening fields lush-bright with promise;
Summer waxes long, then wanes, quietly passing
    Her fading green glory on to riotous Autumn."
-  Michelle L. Thieme, August's Crown
