Alert! Time To Help Our Feathered Friends |
|
Roger Taylor alerted us that he received a severe weather alarm for tomorrow night. The forecast is for 2 to 3 inches of snow followed by 1/4 inch of freezing rain. Temperatures will drop after the freezing rain falls.
"Freezing rain is a disaster for birds. The heavy coating of ice keeps birds from getting at food. If there was a time for people making sure food is available this would be it." said Roger.
Make sure your feeders are full and your heated bird baths are in good working order. Your backyard friends will certainly appreciate it!
