Bulb Thieves?
Squirrels love to eat bulbs with the exception of daffodils. Bulbs are most at risk just after planting, when they are easy to get to because the soil is still soft.
Apply Bulb-Saver small animal repellent to your bulbs 24 hours before planting. As additional protection some gardeners also put their bulbs in a plastic pot when planting. This reduces damage by moles, ground squirrels and Chipmunks.
If the crime spree continues, putting chicken wire on top of the planted area until the ground freezes will offer yet another layer of protection. Lastly enlisting the services of your dog may be necessary.

Ladies Night
Need a night out? Plans are progressing for the November 14 event. Ladies will be treated to a fashion show by Christopher & Banks, C.J. Banks. There will be many other fun "booths" to visit for instance, decorating a wreath, making a pressed flower craft, see hand made jewelry and much more. Most important you'll be benefiting the West Michigan Cancer Center's Patient Care Services Program, which helps uninsured or underinsured cancer patients.
