A common question this time of year is, "Is it too late to apply crabgrass preventer?" The answer is, "No, not at all." Crabgrass is an annual weed that is susceptible to frost and, with the average date of the last frost in our area being May 15, there is plenty of time to get your preventer down. As a matter of fact, this is the ideal time. If you make the application by sometime during the first week of May you will achieve maximum benefit from the preventer.

Product Recalled 

 
Due to the manufacturer's failure to properly register "Miracle-Gro Shake 'n Feed with Weed Preventer" the EPA has issued a product recall. Please return any of this product, purchased from Wedel's, to Wedel's Garden Center. No other Miracle-Gro Shake 'n Feed products are affected by this recall.
