Hello Everyone!
Welcome to the March 2008 e-newsletter!
Some of you were students of mine who took my PCT Childbirth Workshop. Some of you were my clients for whom I provided Labor Support. Some of you know me as "Nurse Diane". Regardless, many of you have asked me to keep in touch with hints, humor, recipes, and words of encouragement. So here I am!
This is a chance for me to wish the children "Happy Birthday", remind you of monthly classes that are being offered, make you aware of new products/recalls, and introduce you to some interesting people and things. It is a chance for me to keep in touch with the over 150 couples I have helped through childbirth and the over 400 couples who have attended my classes.
It was nice thinking of you and I'll visit with you again next month!

Statistics are in for 2007!
Among my labor support clients:
* The most common girl's name
was tied between
Grace & Maggie
and boy's name was Dylan!
* Among the 2007 babies...
59% were boys and 41% were girls!
* 84% saved their cord stem cells
* 11% of moms went without any pain
medicine/epidurals
* 40% tried to use a birthing ball
* The most popular day of the week to be born was
Wednesday, followed by Thursday then
Friday/Monday tied. The least likely days to have the
baby was Tuesday then the weekend: Sunday then
Saturday.
* The babies weighed between 4lbs 1oz
and 10lbs. 6 oz!
* Only (1) set of twins this year! and they were girls!
...and that's some trivia from 2007!

 Car Safety for Children
FACT OR FICTION: You must move a child to a booster seat when he or she weighs 40 pounds.

Answer: With a variety of child restraints with
higher weight limit harnesses, caregivers should use the seat up until
the maximum available height and weight limits...FICTION!
