| Greetings!
Recently, customers upgrading to Banyon 6.0 Fund Accounting experienced some processing and report writer issues in the midst of year end processing. The timing of this Fund Accounting release was necessary in large part because other programs required it. Even though we had tested the release in our office, it was evident that it was not tested with enough sample sets of customer data.
We have worked hard the last 60 days to get things worked out and policies evaluated. I have followed up with the programming and support staff involved with these issues to make sure it doesn't happen again. Banyon Data Systems does not take this action lightly and will work hard to earn and gain your trust in our product as you have for the past 30 years.
I apologize for the inconvenience and frustrations you may have had and promise that new releases will not be issued during end of year processing.
Sincerely,
Jeff Christensen President

| New Policies & Procedures
1) Customers have said communication could be better from Banyon in regards to updates. So, What we have implemented is the ability to let you know when a release is available to download. When you open each software program you will get a message if there is a new release to download AND a link to view what changes are in that release before you decide to download. We will also be able to use this to communicate any other important messages you need to know about. To also help further communicate we have created a Facebook Page where we can also notify customers of important changes and updates via a news feed. Be sure to "Like Us" on Facebook.2) When we have a considerable upgrade to a version we will call some customers to have them upload their data so we can test the release on a broader spectrum of data rather than our in house data. 3) Another item customers have inquired about are better manuals. Therefore, we will also be in the process of updating those and in the last 60 days we have finished our Fund Accounting & Property Management (Permits, licenses, & violations) & New Report Writer
4) Use the Banyon suggestion box built into each software program under help and suggestion box to communicate any software features or enhancements you would like us to consider. Please do not use this for support questions as it is not monitored daily.
5) Banyon attends multiple league conferences each year and starting NOW (with MN Clerks) we will book a conference room before each league conference we attend to meet with customers to answer questions and show new features. See below for upcoming conferences, dates, and times.

Fund Accounting
Rebuilding Account Description Table: Periodically after installing a new release you may get a "enter parameter" message while trying to run a report or view the chart of accounts. If this happens click on setup, general tab, click on rebuild account description table. When this is done running, it will say "form view" in the very bottom left edge of your computer screen.
You may also need to do this after adding a new account if it does not show in an account code drop down or report.
Payroll
If an employee name is not showing up on a check, go to employee information, select the employee, click on personnel info and enter the city, state, zip in the appropriate boxes.
