Fund Accounting Manage Payables
Manage payables is great for year end when you want an item expensed in December, but paid in January.
In December, the expense account is debited and accounts payable credited. When the check is paid in January (or later), accounts payable is debited and cash is credited.

***A new feature has been added to create a certification notice to send customers. If you have previously purchased the certification module, this feature is in the new release of utility billing.

Step by step guide here
Payroll W-2's
Must be created/recreated before the year is closed and after the last payroll of the year. W2's can be reviewed and edited on screen. They can be printed before or after year end. Zero-amount W2's do not have to be deleted - they will not print and will be excluded from electronic filing.

Utility Billing
The most important part for year end in utility billing is to make a backup on December 31st and keep it. Sometimes auditors want to know what balances were at year and you can easily restore to run that report. It would also be a good idea to run the account balance report and aging report on December 31st and file them.
We also have a number of EOY reports and a good one is the EOY Receipts by Charge to get the sales tax totals for the year. EOY reports can be turned on by right clicking on the main account screen and choosing setup, then choose forms. In the special forms column scroll down to the EOY area and click on the ones you want available. They will now show up from the main account screen under the reports drop down.
