The Boniuk Center for Religious Tolerance Newsletter  July 2009
Greetings!

The Boniuk Center said a sad farewell to executive director, Dr. B. Jill Carroll on June 30th last month.  We appreciate and admire all the wonderful things she has done for the Center in her five years of service as executive director.  While her presence is greatly missed,  we are still continuing to promote the Center's mission of peaceful coexistence by working on programming for the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters and will update you as soon as we can.

In this issue, we would like to introduce our new Public Scholar Fellow, Mr. Ata Anzali who will be replacing Andrea Jain and Heba Khan for the next year. We would also like to thank Andrea and Heba for the great job they have done teaching the World Religions courses.  Andrea also volunteered her time to be a docent on the Amazing Faith Tours.  While they are no longer Public Scholar Fellows, Andrea and Heba can still be contacted directly for speaking engagements.

Please also save the dates for our Bridge Builder Lecturer, Karen Armstrong who will be in Houston on October 8th at the Wortham Center and the annual Amazing Faiths Dinner Dialogues taking place on November 12th. See below for further details. You can also check out our new website at: The Boniuk Center for future events and updates.

Best Regards,
The Boniuk Center Team

Ata Anzali
