FAFSA Deadline for Michigan- March 1st!

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the U.S. Department of Education's financial aid application required by virtually all colleges and universities for students to be eligible for need-based financial aid.  The FAFSA is used to apply for federal student aid such as grants, work-study, and loans. You may also use the FAFSA to apply for most state and some private aid.  You can complete the FAFSA electronically by using FAFSA on the Web, or you can fill out and mail a paper FAFSA.  The FAFSA Worksheet for high school seniors is currently available online (online version of the 2011-2012 FAFSA ).  Remember to apply early before funds run out!

KWoods Plunges for Special Olympics

Get ready to get cold for a good cause! Kensington Woods will be taking part in this year's Pinckney Polar Bear Plunge on February 27th. In honor of Hunter Sovlansky, KWoods is raising money in the Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics. The Polar Bear Plunge (or Polar Plunge) is a fundraising event that challenges a single person or group to enter into a cold water in order to raise money for the Special Olympics.  Members of Leadership will be coming around to your classes before and after lunch to collect your change for the Special Olympics! If you would like to bring in a donation, drop it off in the Main Office!

For more information about the Polar Plunge, visit www.somi.org

Anime Club Begins

We have a new club in the school, and it is an anime and manga club! We will meet in Mrs. McGuffin's room after school every Monday from 3-4. We will be discussing and watching anime and manga. Feel free to bring in DVD's of anime if you are willing to share it with the rest of the club. This is also a cosplaying and acting club where you can act or look like your favorite anime characters! We might be featuring some drawing of anime and manga. If you would like more information, see Grace Long.
