| Finding New Ways to Discover Algebra |

KWHS Algebra 1 students are finding new and creative ways to evaluate mathematical functions. Using a software program called GeoGebra, students can easily graph different types of functions including linear, quadratic, exponential and other polynomial functions. In this particular activity, students entered a variety of linear equations in order to evaluate x and y intercepts. They also analyzed slope changes, including comparing key parameters for parallel and perpendicular lines. GeoGebra is a free on-line software program that can be downloaded to your own personal computer (both PC and MAC). Check out the websites below for more details:

Kick it up with the Martial Arts Club!

Martial Arts Club is looking for more participants! Join the KWHS MA Club, meeting in the Big Room twice a week from 6pm-7pm.
Mr. Muennix guides students in a mix of traditional Karate, Tang Soo Do and self-defense. Participants pay $25 per month to help raise funds for equipment and uniforms. For more information, contact Mr. Muennix, mmuennix@kwoods.org.
