Manchester Airport Group goes mobile with paperless retail audits
MAG logo2Touchwork's cellphone enabled operational compliance solution - AERO DAQ is transforming the way Manchester Airport Group monitors their retail store's adherence to service level agreements. In the past Manchester Airport Group used a traditional paper based solution to facilitate its retail audit process.

Now with the new mobile system developed by Touchwork, they're able to gather the information using a cellphone, thereby eliminating the need for paper based forms and multiple data capture. Reporting is through a secure web portal which incorporates customized graphing capabilities and sophisticated workflow management tools.

Accuracy and the speed at which information is gathered and reported on is significantly improved with the new system. And the fact that it is web based and uses a standard cellphone significantly impacts the costs as there is now no need to invest in expensive hardware and PDA's or smart phones to achieve the same level of mobility. Airport staff are able to use their own cellphones to interact with the system and don't need to carry an additional device just to do the audits.

About MAG: The Manchester Airports Group is the UK's largest British-owned airport operator. With four airports - Manchester, East Midlands, Humberside and Bournemouth - they currently serve a total of over 29 million passengers every year.
