July 25th The 8th Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 12)
O God, the protector of all who trust in you,
without
whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us
your
mercy; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through
things
temporal, that we lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ our
Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for
ever
and ever. Amen.
Hosea
1:2-10 Psalm
85
Colossians
2:6-15, (16-19) Luke
11:1-13
8am: Holy Eucharist Our early service is unaccompanied by music and usually lasts about 50 minutes. Coffee and fellowship are offered before the service begins in the parish hall, while the sanctuary is available for quiet prayer. Another coffee hour follows the service.
10am: Holy Eucharist Our late morning service is accompanied
during the summer by organ music and congregational singing, along
with an informal Taize singing group that offers chant during Communion
and rehearses briefly following the service. Nursery care is available
for our youngest members and guests. A festive coffee hour for children
and adults follows the Eucharist.

Upcoming Events
Godly Play needs your help as we gear up for Sunday School this Fall. For the past year we have been using Godly
Play material for our
younger Sunday School class. It has been so much fun watching the way
the children respond to this material. They love the stories and the
visual of watching it unfold. But even better yet is the way they
interact with the sets during thier "work" time. The material we have
from last year only repersents a part of the year. To have a full year
of material we need to order additional sets. There is a display in the
Parish Hall for to see the wonderful quality of the materials and how
much we need to purchase these items. Please feel free to donate for a
full set or any amount towards the total. You may give your donation by
placing in into
the offering (marked "Godly Play"), by handing it to Fr. Ben on Sunday,
or by taking it into the office during the week. Thank You for your
support
Recycle
printer cartridges:
If you are currently throwing your empty printer cartridges away-please
stop! We
can get credit for them at Office Depot, and the money goes right back
into the
office budget. You can put them in a plastic bag and put them in Elsa's
mail
box, give them to her, to take them to the Cornerstone Office (which
also has a
mail slot in the door). Any donations will be gladly accepted.
Thanks!

A Celebration of her Life and Ministry
Pat Hertzog, a long time member of this parish and friend to many of us, died peacefully late Thursday of last week. Her funeral services will be held in the church on Friday, July 30th, at 3:oopm. All are invited to come and remember this wonderful woman as we share our grief at her passing and our joy in her memory.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
