The 7th Sunday after Pentecost
(Proper 11)

Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom, you know our necessities before we ask and our ignorance in asking: Have compassion on our weakness, and mercifully give us those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask; through the worthiness of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Amos 8:1-12
Psalm 52
Colossians 1:15-28
Luke 10:38-42

8am: Holy Eucharist Our early service is unaccompanied by music and usually lasts about 50 minutes. Coffee and fellowship are offered before the service begins in the parish hall, while the sanctuary is available for quiet prayer. Another coffee hour follows the service.

10am: Holy Eucharist Our late morning service is accompanied during the summer  by organ music and congregational singing, along with an informal Taize singing group that offers chant during Communion and rehearses briefly following the service. Nursery care is available for our youngest members and guests. A festive coffee hour for children and adults follows the Eucharist.

Godly Play needs your help as we gear up for Sunday School this Fall. For the past year we have been using Godly Play material for our younger Sunday School class. It has been so much fun watching the way the children respond to this material. They love the stories and the visual of watching it unfold. But even better yet is the way they interact with the sets during thier "work" time. The material we have from last year only repersents a part of the year. To have a full year of material we need to order additional sets.  There is a display in the Parish Hall for to see the wonderful quality of the materials and how much we need to purchase these items. Please feel free to donate for a full set or any amount towards the total. You may give your donation by placing in into the offering (marked "Godly Play"), by handing it to Fr. Ben on Sunday, or by taking it into the office during the week. Thank You for your support

Recycle printer cartridges: If you are currently throwing your empty printer cartridges away-please stop! We can get credit for them at Office Depot, and the money goes right back into the office budget. You can put them in a plastic bag and put them in Elsa's mail box, give them to her, to take them to the Cornerstone Office (which also has a mail slot in the door). Any donations will be gladly accepted. Thanks!

Eating out for a good cause: Wednesday, July 21st from 11 am-10 pm Applebee's Restaurant will be helping out with a fundraising event. They are donating 15% of all proceeds for that day to the 'Ears for Kids' missionary project. This group helps provide hearing aids for deaf children in Peru. There are orange flyers on the welcome table in the Parish Hall-please help yourself, and go out and eat for a good cause!
