February 1st The Fourth Sunday after Epiphany
Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all
things both in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear the supplications
of your people, and in our time grant us your peace; through Jesus
Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one
God, for ever and ever. Amen.
8am: Holy Eucharist
Our early service is unaccompanied by music and usually lasts about 50 minutes. Coffee and fellowship are offered before the service begins in the parish hall, while the sanctuary is available for quiet prayer. Another coffee hour follows the service.
10am: Holy Eucharist
This Eucharistic service is accompanied by our choir of mixed adult voices and organ. Lynn Anderson will play a solo handbell piece, accompanied by Mark Anderson on the organ, at the Offertory. A coffee hour for kids and adults follows the service.

Upcoming Events
CECoP's First Communion class begins tomorrow with session 1 at 10am in the Parish Hall. Future sessions are February 8th, 15th, and 21st.
'Souper-bowl' Sunday is this weekend! This is an easy way to help out the Puyallup Food Bank. If everyone who came to church this Sunday brought a can or package of soup with them, we would have 120+ containers of soup. Let's fill the barrel!
The non-designated offering on the first Sunday of the month goes toward Outreach & ministry support. Checks should be made out to Christ Church with the notation "open offering". 50% of the funds go to Outreach areas that benefit the needy; 25% goes into the Discretionary Fund; and 25% goes into the Rector's Business Account for his discretionary support of the church's ministry. The needs are great, so please be generous!
Men's Group meets: Thursday evenings, February 5th and 19th at 7 pm at Trackside Pizza in downtown Puyallup. All men are welcome.
Next Saturday the 7th of February, at 5:00pm in the evening, Christ
Episcopal Church of Puyallup will hold it's First Annual Chili
Cook-Off! Staff Positions are being handed down, and prizes are being purchased for the winners. Contact the Master of Unceremonious Ceremonies (Fr. Ben) for more details.
A class for Eucharistic Visitors will be held between the morning services on Sunday, February 8th, in the Conference Room. If you are interested in join this special ministry of hands-on pastoral care, please contact Fr. Ben soon. Current Eucharistic Visitors are also invited to attend the class.

Meaning," on Saturday, February 7, 2009, from 9:00am-5pm on the Seattle

Seattle University's School of Theology and Ministry on this
groundbreaking event, which includes book signings by the two keynote
speakers and the guest authors, and ongoing sales of selected books
related to the topics of the day." "When you put together
intelligence, faith or spiritual commitment with self-reflection," said
Mark Markuly, the Dean of the School of Theology and Ministry, "you
come up with a powerful, life and world transforming combination. In
our challenging and often fearful times, we need this combination more
than ever. The Book Festival, "Search for Meaning," is intended to
bring the best thinkers on matters of faith and spirituality under one
roof. Featured speakers will be award-winning author,
Sherman Alexie and James K. Wellman, Jr., associate professor at the
University of Washington. Other guest authors will include
