This Sunday

October 26th
The Twenty-fourth Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 25)

Almighty and everlasting God, increase in us the gifts of faith, hope, and charity; and, that we may obtain what you promise, make us love what you command; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
8am: Holy Eucharist
Our early service is unaccompanied by music and usually lasts about 50 minutes. Coffee and fellowship are offered before the service begins in the parish hall, while the sanctuary is available for quiet prayer. Another coffee hour follows the service.

10am: Sunday School takes place during the first part of our 10am service. The children join the congregation at the peace and share with the whole community in Eucharist.

10am: Holy Eucharist
This Eucharistic service is accompanied by Organ and includes congregational hymns and service music. During the summer months our choir is on sabbatical and various musical offerings will be made during the liturgy. A coffee hour for kids and adults follows the service.

11:30am: Music rehearsals
Following the worship services, our musical groups gather to prepare for the next weeks' offerings.

Support Our Troops: We will be packing boxes to mail to the troops in Iraq, on Sunday, November 23rd between the services. This should ensure that the packages are delivered in time for Christmas. There is a new list of items they would appreciate getting, on the round table in the Parish Hall. Anything you can contribute would be gratefully received. Monetary contributions to help with mailing costs are welcome also.
Chaplian (LTC) Ken Bellinger is our current contact. He is the Chaplain from Fr. Lewis who is stationed at Camp Bucca, Iraq. This is a dentention facility with 18,000 detainees. There are 9000 service members, civilians, and Iraqi forces serving there. Chaplain Bellinger has a staff of 20 Chaplains and assistants to provide for he religious needs of this Forward Operating Base.
The annual Santa's Seconds sale will take place on Saturday, December 6 from 10AM to 3PM. Setup will be on Friday, December 5, starting at 10AM. All volunteers are welcome (and needed!).. A light lunch will be served on both days.  Last year, profits from the sale were the highest ever because many new items were generously donated. Things that sell well include jewelry, stationery, greeting cards, Xmas decorations, clothing with a Christmas motif, linens, pictures, knick-knacks, candles, toys, games, and current books. Items should be in good repair. Old pieces of luggage; single, unmatched glasses and coffee mugs; and old computers and accessories do not sell well, and it would be better to donate such items to local thrift shops.  Donations may be left on the back of the stage in the parish hall during the week preceding the sale. If you have questions, please call Stephanie Roberts at 253/840-4370.
For later in November:

Food donations for Thanksgiving, in lieu of wine ingathering. November is 'anything to help make a Thanksgiving Dinner' month, but all food or money donations will be gratefully accepted.

Let the Camp Huston staff do all the work! Come prepared to enjoy ginger bread house making, sitting around a warm fire, talking with old friends, and building new relationships.
