Amen.

Upcoming Events

This Sunday (July 13th) is Church in the Park, our Parish Picnic. The 8am service will proceed as normal. Please join us at 10am at the southern edge of DeCoursey Park, under the picnic shelter next to the parking lot. The Vestry is providing grilled items (such as hotdogs and hamburgers); please bring a side dish or dessert to share! (Semi) organzied games to follow.

Our United Thank Offering ingathering will be this Sunday, July 13th. There is a basket in the Parish Hall by the name tag board with new blue boxes and blue offering envelopes. The counters would be grateful if you would roll your coins, cash them in at the bank, and then place the money or a check in the blue UTO offering envelope. These may be put in the alms basin during the offertory on July 13th.

Breakfast is served on Sunday, July 27th, and is hosted by the women of Christ Church, as a fund raiser for their annual retreat to St. Andrew's House, October 17th-19th. The cost of the weekend, for two night's lodging and six meals, is $ 160. All monies raised from the breakfast will go towards scholarships for the weekend. If you can help, please contact Pat Horn at 253-845-3590, or Vickey Clayton at 253-435-7663.

A Thank-You Note

Dear Members of Christ Church,

I would first like to apologize for the lateness of this Thank You.

Thank you all, firstly, for making Christ Church a wonderful community of people for me to grow up and find my faith in. As I am about to embark to the other side of the country for my college, I will never forget all of the wonderful memories I have of my near 15 years off attending most every Sunday or of the people who have made and will continue to make this place such a welcoming community.

Thank you also for the very generous graduation gift I received. I am planning to invest my $200 in a socially conscious fund dealing with either micro lending or the alleviation of poverty. I hope in this way, your gift to me can continue to impact more lives than just mine in the next few years.

Thank you for everything you have given me and I wish everyone the best possible as I move on to the next step in my journey.
