About the AFCA:

The mission of the American Foundation for Children with AIDS is to improve the lives of children and youth struggling with the impact of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. We provide cost-effective relief, services, medical and social support, education and advocacy to help these victims achieve their full life potential.
Dear Friends,

What an exciting month we've had! We continue to register climbers for our Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up, and in recent weeks we have sent large quantities of medication to our partner hospitals in Mombasa, Kampala and Nairobi.

Thanks to each of you for your generosity and for your care towards the children we serve. The lives of many children are being affected by the medicine we send. Without you, we could not continue our work.

On behalf of the children,

Tanya Weaver
Executive Director

Action of the Month: Sponsor a Child!

What does it take to be an everyday hero? Just a dollar a day, everyday. Not everyone can travel to Africa and volunteer in the fight against AIDS. But almost everyone has the capacity to save one life without even leaving home. How? By committing to sponsor the antiviral (ARV) medication a child with AIDS needs to take for the rest of their lives. Click here to learn more about sponsoring a child!
