You don't agree with some or all of it but you want to behave in a caring and sensitive manner.  Kudos for desiring to act tolerantly while acknowledging your limits.  Tolerance means you act civilly and accept another's right to be who they are, not that you like another's behavior.   READ MORE

 

GSAFE MEDIA HITS 


  GCS Students Focus on Bullying Prevention
Jalyn and other students participated in Unity Day on Wednesday
Jalyn McKoy knew what do last year when she experienced bullying. Jalyn, now a fifth-grader at Frazier Elementary, told her mom, who worked with the school to resolve the situation without any further incidents.
 
 
Jalyn used the skills she learned through Guilford County Schools' Character Development program, which teaches students how to recognize bullying and what to do if they see it happen. Nationally, about 56 percent of students have witnessed bullying at school, according to www.bullyingstatistics.org.
