Jefferson County will be saying goodbye to Commissioner Kathy Hartman soon. To celebrate all she has accomplished in her four years of public service, the county is inviting its citizens to a farewell gathering on Tuesday, January 4 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The celebration will be in the atrium of the Jefferson County Administration and Courts Facility, 100 Jefferson County Parkway in Golden.
Commissioner Hartman was elected as a Jefferson County Commissioner for district 3 in November 2006 and was sworn in on January 9, 2007. She chaired CCI's Metro Area County Commissioners (MACC) in 2008 and represented the MACC on the Metro Mayors FasTracks Committee. She also was the vice-chair of CCI's Health and Human Services Committee.
In addition to her duties as county commissioner, she served on the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), the Jefferson Center for Mental Health Board, the Community Corrections Board and the Noxious Weed Advisory Board. She was an alternate on the Jefferson Economic Council Board, the Head Start Policy Council and the Boundary Control Commission.
