We need $25 and $50 Gift Certifcates to places like- Smart and Final Safeway Lucky Nob Hill Trader Joes Target Even if your student isn't able to join us on Friday, we'd love your donation of the above items or cash to buy the gifts with. | An enthusiastic welcome to Katrina Kraynick, our new JYM Administrative Assistant!
Do you know what most Youth Pastors hope for? You pray that your students grow up in their faith, continue when they leave the YG, pursue academia and then continue to serve when they graduate college! Katrina Kraynick was an 8th grader when the JYM began, but she has been a lifelong member at Cambrian Park UMC. Here is some pictorial proof... haha)
After graduating from Branham High School she went on to Westmont College & majored in Communication Studies. She was extremely involved in service and mission work while at Westmont. After graduating this past May she worked at a girl scout camp all summer and was then quickly hired as the Children's Director at Cambrian Park UMC this past September. Katrina is also a JYM junior high 7th grade small group leader, Wednesday Night Girls group leader and a mentor to a leadership team student. Katrina has recently accepted the JYM Administrative Assistant position left open when Christina Nihn graduated from college and got a full time job.
I am extremely excited to work alongside Katrina. To be honest, she is so excellent with students, deeply spiritual and extremely motivated that she'd make an awesome JYM Director one day!
For now she will be helping to update the website, make flyers, collect RSVPs for events, plan our travel for trips, organizing medical forms, checks and paperwork as well as helping plan and lead some events. I know she is capable and I wish we could have her on staff for more than 10 hours a week, but for now that is what she will be working. Her hours will be sporadic based on the workload of the week but she is always able to be reached via email.

Hi Youth Groupers and families! I hope your Thanksgiving was excellent. We had a super wonderful Sunday. At every church, students shared about their San Francisco trip and many people were moved. We had a goofy Family Matters "Amazing Race: Black Friday/Thanksgiving theme" and a good time of worship together.
   I pray you are preparing yourself spiritually as well as all the other ways for this upcoming Christmas. All our churches are offering tons of ways to serve, worship and grow, as is the youth group so there is no reason to get wrapped up in the materialism instead of the meaning this Christmas! I hope you are up for the challenge. We have some amazing things coming up.

Please note the church change mid-week since the month changes! Wednesday Night Live, November 30th- AT WGUMC- 6:30pm-8:30pm- Dinner and Bible study for junior and senior high! We'll be doing a Advent/Christmas challenge- Click on the blue link to see the promo video- Advent Conspiracy Friday Night, December 2nd- ALL YOUTH MALL NIGHT LOCK-IN at Almaden Hills UMC! This evening is all about purchasing gifts for those in need, bringing joy to those who are struggling...it's also a super fun night of bonding, eating and relaxing as a youth group! 6:30pm-8:30pm- PLUM PUDDING SERVERS! Almaden Hills has a tradition of doing a desert Christmas sing along every year. Teens our the waiters and hosts of the evening. We need 18 teenagers to join us in serving, cleaning up and hanging out singing Christmas carols while eating Christmas cookies!
1. You need to wear black pants and white shirt
2. You get 2 hours of community service
3. You get to wear super goofy hats and bow ties!

"I need a break" Babysitting night, Christmas theme! Friday, December 9th- 5:00pm-10:00pm at WILLOW GLEN UMC! WE NEED A TON OF STUDENT BABYSITTERS! I will be super packed.
Sunday, December 18th- ALL YOUTH AND FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY with Band and Dance team performance. - in between youth groups from
5:30pm-7:00pm Potluck party at AHUMC.
