In the summer of 2012 while the central Boys and Girls Club building closed for remodeling and construction, satellite club sites were set up in the community. This offered an opportunity to host a club location at the Oak Terrace and Parkside Mobile Home Park in southeast Rochester.
A conversation between Executive Director Jodi Millerbernd and the principal of Longfellow Elementary School, across from Oak Terrace on Marion Road, sparked the idea of a satellite club at this location.
