| Running Start for School Update | |
Running Start is going well so far, with over 90 local businesses and organizations in Olmsted County participating as Drive and Drop sites to collect school supplies!
Volunteer opportunities are available online for the Rochester school supply distribution, August 23 & 24. We have new positions this year, and the location has changed from the United Way building to the RCTC Heintz Center!
Find a Drive & Drop Site near you on our Web site, www.uwolmsted.org/runningstart and click "Find a Drop Site" and consider making a school supply donation to Running Start!
7,056 students in Olmsted County qualify for free school supplies through Running Start this year!
We have changed registration for Running Start this year. Instead of registering by phone, all eligible families will receive a postcard in the mail inviting them to pick up school supplies. Because we have changed registration, we are anticipating a higher number of students to attend our supply distribution, so it is more important than ever that we collect thousands of supplies!
