Geotek LLC - New Campaign, OUTSTANDING Results

Geotek, located in Stewartville, kicked off their first United Way campaign at their Quarterly Employee Meeting on October 27th. "We wanted to offer our employees a channel for giving to a worthy cause," said Angelie Dahl. Geotek chose United Way because the money donated stays within Olmsted County.
Prior to the employee meeting, the campaign team: Andy Jelinek, Rita Flowers, Angelie Dahl, Jim Winslow and Brian Hornberg educated Geotek employees by leaving brochures and literature throughout the break room.
The team also sponsored awareness for the United Way by hosting an Employee Auction event; all items up for bid had been given to Geotek by various suppliers. The employee auction raised $317.60 for the United Way, and promoted an interest.
At the Employee Meeting, the campaign team requested speakers from the United Way to personalize the event. It was a big success!! Geotek had high participation at 49% and contributions of $4,633! Geotek matched the first $2,500 in contributions for a total of $7,133!! As a thank you to our employees for their generosity, Geotek had a drawing for 8 hours vacation.
"Overall, Geotek's first year campaign was quite an achievement!" | |

It's not too late to START your United Way Campaign!

As we enter the final week of the 2011 Campaign, before our 'soft ending' date of this Friday, please remember that it is not too late to begin your United Way Campaign if you have not done so!
For business reasons, many campaigns will extend into December and January and the 'reporting season' will last well into the new year, so don't panic if you have not yet begun your campaign. Believe me, we will work with you to accommodate your business schedule and needs!
Contact Neal Engelman at 529-4505 or neale@uwolmsted.org if you have questions or concerns or simply want to report new campaign dates. |
