Family Stabilizer Program

Did you know ...there are an estimated 458 homeless individuals in Olmsted County on any given night?

That's why...

United Way of Olmsted County is committed to working with our funded partner, Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Rochester (IHN), to serve families in need-who find themselves homeless with their children and no place to turn. Interfaith IHN and its 1,400 volunteers give a 'hand up' to these families in crisis, instead of a 'hand out'. Families in the IHN network work are put on a stabilization plan to get their families into permanent stable housing and keep their children in school.

Which means...When we are able to serve the most vulnerable members of our community we help to stabilize individuals and families in crisis. We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable and when people have good health.
