Greetings from the State Coordinator
Greetings!
As 2008 comes to a close, I find myself wondering how everyone is coming along with their 2009 History Day projects. I know December is a busy month for everyone because my phone has stopped ringing and the email inquiries have dwindled.
However, as you mull that holiday cider, you should also mull over your History Day thesis statement and think about how you can use all the primary and secondary source research you've gathered. This will help immensely when you start creating your project in January.
Speaking of creating projects, I want to let you know that it isn't too late to order History Day exhibit boards from New York State History Day. They are made from high-quality cardboard and fit within the exhibit board dimensions. You can check them out and download an order form right off our website homepage: www.nyshistoryday.org.
Also, I wanted to remind everyone about the Legacies of New Netherland essay contest that will be happening along with History Day this year. An article below will give you all the details.
Wishing you all a happy holiday season, and I'll see you next year!
Best wishes,
Tobi Voigt |
