"She calls it "stick season," this slow disrobing of summer, leaf by leaf, till the bones of tall tress rattle and scrape in the wind."    Eric Pinder

The Fall winds point toward movement, the changes in our lives.
There is so much in life that blows around and never really settles.

Maybe these are the things that open our hearts most...

It is my pleasure continue discovering better ways to serve your therapeutic needs.

Yoga Therapy has a unique distinction; it completely meets you wherever you are (body AND mind.) A therapeutic care plan is implemented with no parts of your self left behind. Physical/emotional pain, compulsive behaviors, anxiety, grief, trauma are managed. Prevention and wellness are emphasized.

Positive life-style changes are developed to ensure that YOUR SELF-CARE is always in the forefront!

I look forward to seeing you on the mat--where the best therapy takes place!

                                                Peace

Studies & Interests
I had the opportunity to assist Yoga for Mood author and creator, Amy Weintraub at Cape Cod Institute early August. I picked up quite a few new  techniques especially for depression, PTSD and OCD. Very exciting. The week was one of the best I had all summer...

I recently attended the following workshops and retreats:
Receiving What is Given (held within Cape Sangha) and Relaxing the Compulsion to Control at Barre Center for Buddhist studies, both with Mark Hart. Mark has an uncanny ability to point to the direct experience of our hearts; Awakening with Adyashanti (www.Adyashanti.org) which was held in Garrison NY, along the Hudson River. Five silent days and many satsangs filled with teachings and Q and A, all pointing to deep self-inquiry focused on asking the RIGHT questions, ALL leading to our direct experience of truth and liberation. More to come on non-duality...

My own practice continues to feed me. I have been experiencing a resurgence of some of my earlier Yoga training. This seems to happen from time to time, I am enjoying it. I am chanting and doing more breath work. And my meditation practice, which I really do not differentiate from Yoga, has deepened thanks to 2 of my newest living non-duality teachers (Adyashanti and Mark Hart.) My participation in local Sangha is changing due to my experiences with them.

Books I am reading (and re-reading)
Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj's I am That (a 1973 spiritual classic), Thannisaro Bhikku's The Paradox of Becoming, Adyashanti's Emptiness Dancing, Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird.

Fiction, Jeanette Winterson's The Stone Gods (JW is a wonderful author who "plays" with time, perception, and gender. Boundaryless! I particularly recommend Oranges are not the Only Fruit, The Passion and Sexing the Cherry). I've also caught up with Euginedes' Pulitzer Prize winner, Middlesex.
