The Pose of the Season ~ Breathing to Calm You
|
 |
The effort to calm and balance yourself involves your
breath. It takes awareness,
and just a few seconds of your time.
Nadi Shodhana
(alternate nostril breathing) can quickly center you
and decrease your stress...
*With one finger, close your right nostril and
exhale through your left nostril. (This entire
exercise is done through your nose.)
*After you complete your exhale (while still closing
the right nostril,) inhale through your left
nostril.
*At the end of this inhale, close your left nostril and
exhale from the right. (Ahhhhhhh)
*Now inhale through the right nostril, then close it,
and exhale on the left.
*And yes, now inhale through the left nostril and
then close it, beginning again on the right... Always
beginning with the exhale and closing after the
inhale.
*Repeat, just for a few rounds...and Enjoy!
Nadi Shodhana is the perfrect recipe
for JOY.
It restores calmness and balance in just a few
seconds.
May you experience the sweet breath of joy
and serenity this season.
