The new issue will be out soon!
Greetings!

Ten years ago, former Bronx Borough President Freddy Ferrer proclaimed that February 23rd is "En Foco Day," recognizing our Organization as a "vital source... designed to allow culturally diverse photographers a more prominent position in mainstream American photography."

To celebrate, please join us for an informal networking/photo sharing Happy Hour at La Palapa Restaurant (East Village) on February 23, from 5-7pm... The wonderful owners, Margaritte & Barbara, even named a drink in our honor: Margarita de en Foco (although after one, the name should probably change to sin foco!)

Hope to see you there,
Miriam, Marisol, Dee, Klára, Daniel & Olga
PRINT COLLECTORS PROGRAM:

Rojelio Reyes Rodriguez

Rojelio Rodriguez

The newest addition to our Print Collectors Program, is this stunning image by Touring Gallery artist Rojelio Reyes Rodriguez, titled Rodolfo con gallo. Rojelio's Mi Sangre series, embodies memories from his childhood and elements considered an important part of his Mexican heritage.

Rojelio generously shares his talent once again, by crafting an exclusive and limited En Foco edition of 20, made on Canson Infinity's archival papers.

En Foco's Print Collectors Program offers original photographs by internationally recognized and emerging artists, at affordable prices. Every purchase helps underwrite an exhibition, publication or event - and the best part, a percentage is returned to the creator of the image. Its a great way to start a collection of your own, or present a loved one with a very special gift!

Beyond Diversity and Toward Inclusivity // Dawoud Bey

Saturday, March 6 @ 7pm

In an age in which it would be superfluous to say that "diversity" has been achieved in the White House, it's time to turn away from "diversity" as an operative objective and turn instead towards the more meaningful and substantial goal of making institutional spaces ever more inclusive, to artists and audiences alike. One way to accomplish this is to consider how in fact the institution's identity can be meaningfully transformed... More details>>
