The 7th Annual Lucie Awards gala ceremony pays tribute to legendary photographers whose contributions to photography have left an indelible footprint in contemporary photography. It will also present three awards to the top winners of the International Photography Awards.

Please join En Foco and the Lucie Foundation on Sunday, October 18 from 5:30 to 7:00pm for a FREE artist talk, book signing, and After-Party from 7:00 to 8:30pm.
 
The artist talk "EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEYS: FOUR VISIONARIES," features:

MUSTAFAH ABDULAZIZ - Winner of the En Foco/Canson Infinity's People/Places/Things photo competition, and artist in an upcoming issue of its Nueva Luz photographic journal.

RANIA MATAR - Published in Nueva Luz volume 13#3 this past spring, we are also celebrating the publication of her monograph, "Ordinary Lives." Books will be available for purchase and signing!

SUE FLOOD - Finalist for the International Photography Awards (IPA, a sister effort of the Lucie Foundation) "International Photographer of the Year."

RACHEL PAPO - Finalist for the IPA "Deeper Perspective Photographer of the Year."

The Artist Talk is FREE and open to the Public, with an After-Party Mixer to follow (7-8:30pm). The party is free for current En Foco and Lucie Foundation members, with a $10.00 suggested donation for non-members (or, become a member and its free!).

The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance invites artists and arts organizations to NoMAA Technical Assistance Institute 2009 - a free one-day conference designed to examine common issues and to share some of the fundamental steps to creating and sustaining a career as an artists and to developing and running a successful arts organization.  During the conference there will be panel discussions, workshops and networking opportunities for artists and arts professionals.
