Little Histories | A Film Screening with Special Guest Kelly Sears

Kelly Sears is an animator and filmmaker living in Galveston, Texas, where she is a current resident at the Galveston Artist Residency. Her collage films are created from discarded periodicals, books, archives, and orphan films. Her films draw on experimental, documentary and narrative practices, and feature both analog and digital animation techniques.
Sears' portfolio of work has been shown at a tremendous number of venues, including the Ann Arbor, Sundance, American Film Institute, and SXSW Film Festivals, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Hammer Museum, and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Now she is coming to Chelsea.
Don't miss a screening of Little Histories with Kelly Sears.

I Geek Horses

I geek horses because they are good at jumping, racing, giving lessons, and many other reasons. I really love trail riding and English riding. It's fun to see horses rear up and buck, which I've seen on shows and at a rodeo in Wyoming.
A great source for learning about horses is, The Kingfisher Illustrated Horse and Pony Encyclopedia. My favorite book series is Pony Pals, which I first discovered at North Creek Elementary library. Mom and I read Marguerite Henry's Misty of Chincoteague and Justin Morgan Had a Horse books, which we borrowed from the Chelsea District Library. READ MORE>>
