I Geek Mice
Who said mice eat cheese? Their favorite foods are peanut butter, Ritz Crackers and Hollandaise sauce. The first pets I ever had were mice and I geek mice because you can teach them their name and tricks. Mice are kind pets, but they can bite if they are scared, especially if you squeeze them! They are also sensible pets because they are smart, clean and good with small children. If you want a calm mouse, play with it in the morning. Purple Rose Theatre Play Reading

Come hear the first public reading of five short plays written by the Purple Rose Theatre Company (PRTC) apprentices. These short plays will be produced for a one-night only performance showcasing the 2012 Apprentice Class in August. Plays include: Lasso the Moon by Brittany Wood-Taylor, Ten Years by Lucas Daniels, The Berry Hopper Show by Lauren Branstetter, Something Near 5:45am by Anthony Morton and Interlude by Katherine Nelson.
A talkback will follow the readings. Apprentices will discuss their writing processes, what it's like to be a Purple Rose apprentice, and their future plans. Audience questions and feedback will be welcome.
