eBooks for Kids:
Reading in a Format They'll Love

     

Fiona's LuckTumbleBooks is an online collection of digital picture books  that teach kids the joy of reading by adding animation, sound, music, and narration to existing picture books. Designed for elementary students, this collection of talking books highlights each phrase as it's being read to help kids follow along. These books and games can be played on any desktop computer. Tumblebooks even has a special collection of talking eBooks just for iPad users!

To access TumbleBooks go to our Online Resources page, and choose TumbleBooks from the alphabetical list. 

 

 Children's eBooks in Download Destination 

OverDrive Children's ebooks are available in Download Destination, but can sometimes be tricky to find. Go to the Advanced Search option and choose Subjects. Scroll down to Juvenile Fiction, Juvenile Classics, or Juvenile Non-Fiction.  Most eBooks are compatible with Kindles and other eBook devices, and eBook-compatible computers. 

 

Disney Digital BooksDisney Digital Books are available through Download Destination and feature interactive Picture Books and Early Readers. These books can only be used on computers, not on eReaders, and they can be checked out by multiple patrons at once, so there are no waiting lists.
