Help the St. Louis Center win $100,000 through the Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge! The University of Michigan Men's Basketball Head Coach, John Beilein, has chosen St. Louis Center as his Charity of Choice in the Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge. The online voting contest began January 18. Cast your vote daily at ESPN.com/Infiniti. Once you register (easy!) you can vote once-a-day through the end of the regional challenge on February 27. Early Reader Collection Has Moved
The Early Reader collection has a new location and a new look. Last month we moved the collection from the back corner of the youth department to the shelving area across from the picture books.
Now that this collection is in the center of the youth department, it's getting some well deserved attention. The older books are being cleaned, the tattered books are being replaced, and the collection is being updated with new books on superheroes, animals, biographies and more. We've also re-labeled mystery and sports books to make them easier to find.
If you have any questions about our color coded system, you can find the new Finding the Right Early Reader bookmark displayed on the Early Reader bookshelf, or ask a librarian. Come in and check out this updated collection!

Purple Rose Concert Reading
Join us for a reading of the play Superior Donuts by Tracy Letts, performed by the Purple Rose Theatre Company (PRTC) actors. Arthur Przybyszewski owns a decrepit donut shop in the uptown neighborhood of Chicago. Franco Wicks, a teenager who is his only employee, wants to change the shop for the better. This comedy-drama, set in the heart of one of Chicago's most diverse communities, explores the challenges of embracing the past and the redemptive power of friendship. This play is under consideration for the 2012 / 2013 Season.
Stay after the reading to share your thoughts on the script with PRTC Artistic Director, Guy Sanville and the performers.
