Compatible Devices 

OverDrive titles can be enjoyed on a wide variety of devices including the popular Amazon Kindle and Kindle Fire, the Barnes & Noble Nook, Sony Reader, and Kobo. A complete list of compatible ebook readers is available at OverDrive.

 

Getting Started  

My Help! beta With My Help!  you'll be downloading eBooks in no time. Find step-by-step guides for downloading and installing required software, searching our catalog, item check out, downloading and enjoying your ebook.  All you need to get started is a valid library card.  

 

To get started, go to My Help! 

 

1. Choose Read eBooks (see graphic below) from the graphic options.

3. Click on the View My Help button.

Downloading books to the iPad

The OverDrive Media Console app, which is optimized for iPads, is available in the App Store, and can be installed on Apple devices running iOS v4.0, or newer.

OverDrive has a Digital Help webpage that covers many of the frequently asked questions about digital materials. You can also bring your device to the library and our staff will be happy to assist you.

Friends of Chelsea District Library Eco-Friendly Book BagRemember to bring your own reusable bag to the library. To save money and to reduce the use of plastic, we have stopped providing plastic bags.
 
If you forget to bring a bag, the Friends of Chelsea District Library have eco-friendly bags for sale. Purchase one bag for $9 or two bags for $15, available at the Check Out Desk.
