Library eBooks Now Available for Kindle
Chelse a District Library is excited to announce that its eBook collection is now compatible with the world's bestselling eBook reader, the Amazon® Kindle. Patrons can now download popular and classic eBooks to a Kindle device or any mobile device running the free Kindle app, such as iPhone®, iPad®, Android™, and more. Chelsea District Library also offers eBooks and audiobooks for use on a PC or Mac computer and popular mobile devices such as a Smartphone, MP3 player, and eBook reader like the Barnes & Noble® Nook™ and Sony® Reader.
Kindle users can browse the Chelsea District Library's collection of bestselling and classic eBooks from a PC or Mac computer, check out titles using a library card, and select "Get for Kindle" to deliver eBooks to their Kindle device or any device running the free Kindle app. Users who enjoy eBooks on Kindle will benefit from Amazon's Whispersync technology that synchronizes notes, highlights and last page read between their Kindle and free Kindle apps.

Passport to the Blue Zones Wellness Challenge
Complete lifestyle tips inspired by each Blue Zone: Sardinia, Okinawa, Loma Linda, CA and Costa Rica, then bring your completed passport to the 2nd level Information Desk to pick up prizes. The wellness challenge kicks off Sunday, October 2 at 2pm and runs through Monday, October 31.

6-11 Club Presents: Three Days on a River in a Red Canoe
 This month's 6-11 Club will feature activities about the Chelsea Reads Together youth book: Three Days on a River in a Red Canoe by Vera B. Williams. Learn to set up a tent, how to paddle a canoe, and make tasty camping snacks! We'll also be doing some hula hooping! Hula hoops can help you stay fit while having a lot of fun! Kristin Kelly of AutheniKK Hoops will be here with her custom-made hula hoops to show us all the cool moves-don't miss it! About Us
The Chelsea District Library is nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide equal access to quality resources that serve the lifelong cultural, educational and informational needs and interests of all people. The Library currently serves 14,000 residents in the Chelsea district - City of Chelsea plus Dexter, Lima, Lyndon and Sylvan townships and more than 20,000 individuals visit the Library each month. The Library's state-of-the-art facility is an access point for information including: books, periodicals, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, downloadable e-books, subscription databases as well as access to the Internet.
