Peg Greisberger, Adult Services Librarian, is originally from Omaha, but attended college in Toronto, Canada.  Right out of college she began her professional career teaching English in Laghman, Afghanistan as a Peace Corps Volunteer.  After the Peace Corps, Peg followed in her mother's footsteps and found employment as a librarian.  Her first job in a library was at the University of Rochester (New York), and her next library position was at Iowa State University in Ames.  While living in Columbus, Ohio, Peg

obtained her Master's in Library Science and began her career working in public libraries.  Peg is a strong believer in the

importance of a vibrant public library in the life of a community.  As a result, wherever she travels both nationally and internationally, she checks out the local library to understand better the place she is visiting and find new ideas for the Chelsea District Library, to help it continue to be a great place to engage with your community and enjoy life-long learning.
