Join us in January for Music @ McKune, a month-long music series with Sunday performances in the Library's McKune Room. Alberta Adams, the undisputed Queen of the Detroit Blues scene, will kick off the series with a performance Sunday, January 9. Alberta has just completed her third CD for the Eastlawn label, called Detroit Is My Home. This is her third full-length CD for the Detroit-based label. Don't miss this 93 year-old living legend, backed by the RJ Spangler Trio. No registration required, drop-in!

Michigan Online Resources for Educators
 Give teachers and educators the gift they really need - the gift of 24/7 access to a comprehensive collection of online educational resources. Give them access to Michigan eLibrary (meL). MeL's Michigan Online Resources for Educators (M.O.R.E.) Offers lesson plans and curriculum aids searchable by subject or state standard. Administered by the Library of Michigan in partnership with Michigan's libraries of all types, the Michigan eLibrary ( http://mel.org) will provide all Michigan residents with free access to online full-text articles, full-text books, digital images, and other valuable research information at any time via the Internet. About Us
The Chelsea District Library is nonprofit
organization whose mission is to provide equal access to quality resources that
serve the lifelong cultural, educational and informational needs and interests
of all people. The Library currently
serves 14,000 residents in the Chelsea district - City of Chelsea plus Dexter,
Lima, Lyndon and Sylvan townships and more than 20,000 individuals visit the
Library each month. The Library's
state-of-the-art facility is an access point for information including: books,
periodicals, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, downloadable e-books, subscription
databases as well as access to the Internet.
In addition to providing dynamic services to complement and support
local schools and other important community needs, the Chelsea District Library
strives to present timely, interesting and high-quality programs and events to
engage and enrich the Chelsea community.
